Meet&Deal vol1 wasn't just another networking event. It was a bet that business relationships form differently than through obligatory table pitches and dull talks about things everybody already knows.
The bet paid off.
The most nourishing networking, take one
Whenever we think about what makes networking actually effective, we come back to the basics. People want to meet people. Not listen to monologues from a stage. Not collect business cards for a drawer. Just talk to someone who takes business as seriously as they do.
vol1 was about proving that this works. No ego, no big promises. Just a clean concept: get together people who want to build relationships, not just attend events.
What happened in the heart of Prague
150 attendees. A space where you could actually talk. Drinks that didn't freeze up after half an hour. And energy you can't fake.
People like Tomáš Braverman, Jonáš Čumrik and Michal Hanáček were in the room. Names that mean something in Czech business. Not because they wanted to show off, but because they came with a clear goal: meet other interesting people and maybe do a deal.
No filters. No posing. Nobody pretending to be more than they are.
That was the most valuable thing about vol1. The atmosphere was authentic. People talked about what they enjoy, what they're building, what they're planning. Not about how great they are or how successful they look.
A proof of concept that held up
When you organise your first event, you never know how it'll go. Will people come? Will it be worth it? Will any value come out of it, or will everyone stand around with a drink and go home?
Meet&Deal vol1 showed the concept made sense. No lectures. No formalities. Just networking in its purest form.
People left with contacts they wanted to work with. With ideas that wouldn't have come up if they'd been sitting at a table listening to another talk on growth hacking. With the feeling that it hadn't been a waste of time.
That was the moment we knew this had a future.
What vol1 meant for Meet&Deal
The first event is always the most nerve-wracking. You don't know whether people will get it. Whether they'll like it. Whether they'll come back.
vol1 set the bar. It showed that the most nourishing networking isn't an empty phrase but something you can actually build. People took real value away from vol1, and that's exactly why Meet&Deal exists.
Was it perfect? Definitely not. But it was honest. And that was the foundation for everything that came after.
